Making Your Workouts More Effective

Learn how to use your hips as a hinge.  This will keep your lower back safe during big heavy deadlifts, squats, and bent barbell rows.  When you keep your back flat when you are deadlifting you are practicing the hip hinge movement.  Another exercise that use to get your hip flexibility better are swings, with a kettlebell, or a dumbell.  The better that you get at this the safer that your workouts will be.

Run hills.  Running hills not only burns calories, it will also build more muscle.  Sprint, and run, do not jog, and walk.  Sprint up the hill, and then walk back down.  Repeat this for the desired amount of times.  If you have any doubts about whether this works or not just take a look at what an Olympic sprinter looks like compared to a long distance marathon runner looks like.  The sprinters are all jack. These are great fitness tips for success.

Add resistance to your hikes, and walks.  Carry some light dumbells, wear weighted bracelets, put some weight into a back pack, or get a weighted vest.  These are all things that you can use to make your walks, and your hikes more challenging.  The more challenging, the more effective they will be. It is a good way to exercise for weight loss.

Change the order of the exercises that you do in your workouts. By doing this, you will put more emphasis on muscles that you have been using last in your workouts, giving them a better chance to develop to their potential.  If this means putting the flat bench press at the end of a workout, then give it a try.
