Rockford Chiropractor, Dr. Mike Donohue and Rehabilitation & Spinal Care of Rockford has joined with local gym, FitMe Wellness to offer a lecture series discussing topics such as back pain, nutrition and stress. In Rockford Low Back Pain, is a problem that affects many people of both genders, and all races and ages. The severity of the back pain varies, but it tends to be an “equal opportunity offender.” There are various causes of low back pain, and the lecture series will address some of the more common ones. The lecture series will be offered to members of FitMe Wellness, located at 2594 N. Mulford Rd in Rockford, patients of Rehabilitation & Spinal Care of Rockford and to the general public. Dr. Donohue states, “FitMe Wellness is a gym that takes a comprehensive approach to fitness, wellness and health, and that philosophy is in keeping with the mission statement of Rehabilitation & Spinal Care of Rockford. It is important for people to be cognizant of the implication and ramifications of unhealthy lifestyles and poor wellness choices.” The first lecture will deal with back pain – the most common causes and the various treatments that are offered by the many specialists in the field. It will detail the most conservative options for relieving back pain and venture into the more invasive options, such as surgery. One area in which the lecture will focus is rehabilitation – the strengthening of injured tissues to prevent future recurrences. FitMe Wellness is has opened it’s doors to Rehabilitation & Spinal Care of Rockford in order to demonstrate the benefits of comprehensive spinal care.
